Our space is located in the woods and we do treat the exterior to keep out pests including insects and mice, this is a reality of being surrounded by beautiful mother nature. Should this be of concern to you our space may not be the best fit. Animals you may see during your stay include deer, black bears, groundhogs, mice, insects.

(Not Applicable to AirBnB Guests) You will also be given the choice between paying a refundable deposit or buying a non-refundable damage waiver. We suggest you buy the damage waiver as this protects you in case you cause accidental damage during a booking.

Please note that in Winter months, we do recommend a vehicle with All Wheel Drive or 4×4 due to the nature of the cottage road and varied weather. We have shovels and salt available for your use. We do not do any refunds should you not be able to make it to the property in your vehicle due to regular snow that happens in the area. Please come prepared. The road gets plowed by by township, but our driveway is a bit hilly (that is where most people sometimes get stuck).

The property has a generator which gets checked yearly. Should there be a power outage the generator will kick in to power the cottage. Should the generator not work, most outages are short-lived, and we ask you to wait it out and check the HydroOne website. The property has a wood fireplace to keep the property warm. No refunds are made due to power outages unless they are over 12h or longer, and affecting your stay.

Interaction:
Owner is reachable by phone 24/7. Property manager is always available. Information on how to contact will be given in the Check-In Instructions.

Transit:
Located near Catchacoma Marina there is no public transportation to get to the property. You will need your own vehicle or a rental vehicle to get here.

Our property features a newly renovated kitchen that is fully equipped with a full-size fridge and stove, perfect for creating delicious meals for big groups. Hemlock Treehouse is less than a 15-minute drive from exhilarating ATV & snowmobile trails, and our large driveway provides ample space to park your trailer and outdoor equipment. We are also a short walk from Catchacoma Marina where you can take your own personal boat or rent one at the lake! This one-of-a-kind custom-built log home/treehouse comfortably sleeps a total of 13 guests across 5 large bedrooms. Hemlock Treehouse is built with Hemlock trees from the surrounding forest and built by the original owner. BEDROOMS:

The Treehouse offers 5 separate bedrooms, with 8 beds in total.

Bedroom 1 – The primary bedroom is a beautiful loft-style room that is flooded with natural light and spectacular views of the forest that can be enjoyed from a King size bed.

Bedroom 2 – This bedroom has a queen size bed and is just steps up from the main living space with a sliding door to bring in the fresh air and its own workspace.

Bedroom 3 – This bedroom can be found in the fully furnished lower level and is a double bed plus a single trundle bed that can be pulled out for extra guests!

Bedroom 4 – This bedroom is also located in the beautiful walk out lower level just steps to the hot tub and offers a double bed plus a single trundle bed that can be used for extra guests.

Bedroom 5 – This bedroom is perfect for adults or kids. It offers a set of bunk beds with a double bed on the bottom and single bed on top, also found in the walk out lower level.

BATHROOMS:
The house has 2 full bathrooms, each with plenty of storage and impressive water pressure. The main floor bathroom on the main level contains a shower / tub, vanity & toilet, and the second is split into two and it provides a bathtub, and a separate vanity and toilet. These two bathrooms have ample space for all guests so you won’t have to spend time waiting!

ARE YOU A GROUP UNDER 30 years of age?
Any groups under 30 need to pay a $1500 security deposit. As much as we would like to be flexible with everyone, we’ve had a few groups passed through that have ruined it for everyone. The security deposit is done through AirBnB and refunded once our cleaning team has gone and assessed the state of the property.
