1.2 All transactions and any other exchanges between renters and owners are carried out entirely at their own risk. Without limiting any other clause in these terms and conditions, you acknowledge that this site assumes no responsibility for any wrongdoing by its users, including misrepresentation of properties or renters, fraudulent behavior, or the accuracy of any information published.
1.3 You must not use the site to post false listings or submit false inquiries.
1.4 We reserve the right to modify or remove any information published on the site if we believe it is false or misleading.
1.5 While our site may display the availability of certain properties, it does not guarantee it. You must always verify availability directly with the property owner.
1.6 Each owner is free to establish their own property rules, and it is important to respect them. This is a matter of courtesy and compliance. If these rules are not followed, Cottage Discount will not be held responsible for any disputes and encourages the parties to resolve the matter between themselves.
1.7 We encourage renters to communicate directly with property owners regarding any rentals or listings made through the platform.
1.8 We disclaim all responsibility regarding the condition of any property listed on our site.
1.9 All rentals are at the renter’s own risk. Any incident or accident occurring at the rental location must be handled through personal insurance or the owner’s insurance. We are not responsible for the use of the premises.
2. General Rules
2.1 All listings and communications made through Cottage Discount must be conducted in good faith between the parties.
2.2 An account is required to establish contact between renters and property owners.
2.3 We do not tolerate spam or unsolicited commercial electronic communications of any kind.
3. Payments
3.1 The online payment service is used solely as a tool to display your property, business and membership.
3.2 We are not involved in any payment transactions between renters and property owners.
3.3 Renters are responsible for reading and accepting the owner’s rental terms and conditions before making any payment.
3.5 Registration fees are non-refundable, regardless of the reason for cancellation.
4. Reviews and Comments
4.1 Cottage Discount is not responsible for opinions expressed in reviews or comments. By posting any content, you agree to assume full legal responsibility and to hold the site harmless from any liability, loss, damage, cost, or expense resulting from your review.
4.2 You must remain polite and respectful in all comments or reviews posted on this site. We reserve the right to remove any content deemed inappropriate or in violation of these terms and conditions.
5. Modifications

7. Laws and Jurisdiction
7.1 These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Québec and Canada. You agree that any legal action brought by you or any other party to enforce these terms must be filed exclusively in the judicial district of St-Jérôme.
