With its private four-season hot tub overlooking the lake and forest, water access, seasonal kayaks and paddleboards, spacious interior, wood-burning fireplaces and large property, this cottage is a true nature retreat.

Pets are also welcome for an additional fee.

Le Grand Pic enjoys a privileged location directly on the shores of Lake Lavigne.

The nearly 200-acre property creates a peaceful, wooded and especially private environment, since this vast domain is shared with only two other cottages.

It is the perfect place to slow down, listen to nature, enjoy the waterfront and leave the pace of everyday life behind.

For smaller groups, or for those wishing to rent an additional cottage on the same property, Le Petit Pic can accommodate up to 8 guests.

Swimming, kayaks and paddleboards

During the warmer season, Lake Lavigne is ideal for enjoying time on the water. Fed by several small natural springs, the lake offers a pleasant setting for swimming.

Motorized boats are not permitted, helping preserve the calm and peaceful atmosphere of the lake. Guests may, however, bring their own non-motorized watercraft.

Two kayaks and two paddleboards are also available in season.

Please note that fishing is not permitted on the lake.

Private four-season hot tub with lake views

After a day exploring the property, paddling or enjoying activities in Lanaudière, relax in the private four-season hot tub.

Its views of the lake and surrounding forest create an especially peaceful atmosphere.

In summer or winter, the hot tub is an ideal place to end the day and fully enjoy the natural setting.

Hiking, snowshoeing and winter activities

In winter, don’t forget your snowshoes. The large forested property is ideal for exploring in the snow.

The Lanaudière region also offers many winter activities.

You can visit Ski Val Saint-Côme or Ski Montcalm for downhill skiing.

Super Glissades Saint-Jean-de-Matha and Montagne Coupée, known in part for cross-country skiing, are located about 20 minutes from the cottage.

Le Grand Pic can also be accessed by snowmobile via Trail #349 of the Circuit du Montagnard.

During the warmer season, golf enthusiasts can visit Golf de Matha, located less than 25 minutes away by car.

The main living area combines the living room, dining room and a game corner with a table for card games.

The living room features a wood-burning fireplace, adding warmth and atmosphere on cooler days.

The entire room is lined with windows along the terrace side, providing beautiful views of the forest and lake.

A spacious kitchen designed for groups

The practical kitchen features long countertops that make it easy for several people to prepare meals together.

The whole group can take part in cooking while remaining connected to the main living spaces.

The main level also includes two closed bedrooms with king beds, one full bathroom and one powder room.

Games room and dormitory-style sleeping area on the lower level

The lower level offers even more space for groups.

You will find a games room with a shuffleboard table, bistro tables and a glass-front wood stove.

A large dormitory-style bedroom provides multiple sleeping spaces with double bunk beds, along with single beds available.

A second multipurpose room can be used as an additional bedroom and includes a queen bed. It also features a patio door leading directly to the wooded area, as well as storage furniture with hooks for coats and outdoor clothing.

Fishing is not permitted on Lake Lavigne.

Motorized boats are prohibited on the lake. Non-motorized watercraft are permitted.

Lake access and activities on the water are prohibited during winter and during freeze-up and thaw periods. Use of the lake is at the users’ own risk.

The property grounds are monitored by security cameras directed toward the driveway entrance.

Watercraft are available from Patriots’ Weekend through Thanksgiving Weekend, inclusive.
