Cancellation Policy
- 1. BOOKING AND PAYMENT TERMS 1.1 At the time of booking, the Lessor will charge the Lessee's credit card a deposit equal to 50% of the TOTAL COST (DEPOSIT). The booking will be confirmed once the DEPOSIT has been authorized. 1.2 Late booking. For any booking made less than fifteen (15) days before the OCCUPANCY DATE, the Lessor will charge the Tenant's credit card for the full TOTAL COST at the time of booking. The booking will be confirmed once the TOTAL COST has been authorized. 1.3 Within 10 days prior to the OCCUPANCY DATE, the Lessor must receive the final rental payment as well as a security deposit of $250.00. You will receive an email to make your payment. This security deposit may be used to compensate the Lessor for any damage caused by the Lessee to the RENTED PREMISES. This security deposit will be returned a few days after your stay. 1.4 On the OCCUPANCY DATE, the Lessor will charge the Lessee's credit card for the remaining balance of the TOTAL COST. 1.5 For reservations of the Wolfestown chalet, the price is based on 6 people. An additional charge of $80 per person will be added to your reservation. 2. CANCELLATION POLICY 2.1 The Lessee must notify the Lessor of any cancellation in writing to domainewolfestown@gmail.com. 2.3 The DEPOSIT is refundable if the written notice required under section 2.1 is received at least four (4) months prior to the OCCUPANCY DATE. If the written notice required under Article 2.1 is received less than four (4) months but more than thirty (30) days before the OCCUPANCY DATE, the DEPOSIT is non-refundable but may be converted into a deposit for a future rental of the same RESIDENCE, provided that the reservation for this future rental of the same RESIDENCE is confirmed within twelve (12) months of receipt of the written notice required under Article 2.1. 2.4 If the DEPOSIT is received within thirty (30) days of the OCCUPANCY DATE, no refund of the DEPOSIT, nor a deposit for a future rental of the same RESIDENCE, will be granted to the Tenant, unless the Landlord is able to rent the RESIDENCE to another tenant at the same TOTAL COST for the duration of the stay. 2.5 Without limiting the foregoing, an administrative fee of 10% of the TOTAL COST, with a minimum of $75.00, will be charged for any cancellation covered by sections 2.1 to 2.4, for any reason whatsoever. 2.6 Late Booking. In the cases referred to in section 1.2, the Tenant will be fully responsible for their reservation and no refund of the TOTAL COST, nor any deposit for a future rental of the same RESIDENCE, will be granted, unless the Landlord is able to rent the RESIDENCE to another tenant at the same TOTAL COST for the duration of the stay. 2.7 Force Majeure Policy. The Force Majeure Policy addresses cancellations when unforeseen events beyond the control of the TENANT and/or LANDLORD occur after the reservation has been made and render the stay impossible or illegal. In the event of cancellation due to force majeure, the DEPOSIT may, depending on the circumstances, be converted into a CREDIT or other form of compensation. The CREDIT must be used for a future rental of the same RESIDENCE, provided that the reservation for this future rental is confirmed within twelve (12) months of receipt of the written notice stipulated in Article 2.1. The cancellation policy in the event of force majeure is designed to protect Tenants and Landlords against unforeseen circumstances that arise after a reservation has been made. 3. UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES 3.1 The Landlord will not grant any refund or credit note to the Tenant due to problems arising from weather-related events or the deterioration of the quality of any body of water located near the RESIDENCE. 3.2 The Tenant acknowledges that the RESIDENCE is located in a natural setting and that small animals or insects may enter the building if the doors are left open or if they settle near the RESIDENCE. This situation is beyond the Landlord's control, and the Landlord cannot be held liable under any circumstances. 4. OWNERSHIP 4.1 The Tenant may not, under any circumstances, claim any right to remain on the premises after the end of the stay. 4.2 The Tenant will not acquire any ownership rights to the RENTED PREMISES upon termination of this rental agreement. 5. LIMITATION OF LANDLORD'S LIABILITY The Landlord shall not be liable for: a. The Tenant and/or any persons to whom the Tenant grants access to the RENTED PREMISES (GUESTS) shall be liable for any and all damages of any kind whatsoever suffered by the Tenant and/or by any persons to whom the Tenant grants access to the RENTED PREMISES (GUESTS) arising in any way whatsoever from the RENTED PREMISES or their use.
