Watopeka is an Abenaki word meaning “rippling river.” Listen to the Watopeka River flowing by under the watchful eyes of white-tailed deer and chirping chickadees. In summer, come to unwind as you dangle your feet in the water by the river.

Our cottage is a great place for family or friends to get together. Choose how you want to relax: lie back in the private all-season spa, stroll along the river’s edge or simply settle in to a good book in the calm natural surroundings.

Le Watopeka is especially appreciated for its large, sunny deck, where guests can observe the beauties of nature while enjoying a delicious meal prepared on the barbecue. Below the deck is the spa, sheltered from any inclement weather that may roll in.

Several activities are available at Le Camping des Baies, just a short five-minute walk away:

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREMISES

Le Watopeka is a distinctive wood structure built using the traditional mortise and tenon technique popular for framing in Europe, Asia and North America. The cathedral ceiling provides good lighting and a warm ambiance. If the weather turns cold, just light a fire in the wood stove when you arrive. Everything is in place for a successful vacation experience.

The open-concept main floor is perfectly suited for larger groups to gather all in one place. The fully equipped kitchen will please everyone from the amateur cook to the gourmet chef. There are 3 closed bedrooms and a mezzanine children will love, as well as 2 bathrooms (one with bath and the other with shower).

Main floor: Open-concept kitchen and dining room / Living room with 1 Double sofa bed / 1 full bathroom with bathtub.
Mezzanine: Open bedroom #1 with 1 Queen bed + 1 Double sofa bed
Downstairs: Bedroom #2 with 1 Queen bed / Bedroom #3 with 1 Queen bed / Bedroom #4 with 1 Queen bed and 1 Single bunkbed / 1 full bathroom with shower.
