Welcome to La Siesta, a cottage rental located on peaceful Lake Siesta in Saint-Calixte, in the beautiful Lanaudière region. Less than one hour from Montreal, this cottage can accommodate up to 8 guests and offers everything needed for a successful getaway with family or friends.

Whether you are planning a relaxing weekend, a summer vacation by the water or a winter stay near ski resorts, La Siesta is a welcoming place to slow down, enjoy the fresh air and make the most of nature.

Peaceful Lake, Kayak, Pedal Boat and Swimming

Enjoy direct access to Lake Siesta for a relaxing ride on the water with the kayak and pedal boat available for guests. Motorboats are not permitted on the lake, helping preserve a calm and peaceful atmosphere throughout your stay.

On warm summer days, cool off with a swim or simply dip your feet in the water from the dock. The lake bottom consists of sand and silt.

Watercraft are available from the Victoria Day long weekend through the Thanksgiving long weekend, inclusive.

Lakeview Terrace, Private Hot Tub and Outdoor Firepit

The terrace offers beautiful views of the water and is the perfect place to enjoy meals outside, sip a morning coffee or relax with an evening drink.

After a day of activities, unwind in the private four-season hot tub under the countryside’s starry sky. End the evening around the outdoor firepit while sharing quality time with family and friends. Firewood is provided; just remember to bring the marshmallows.

Please note that approximately twelve steps lead down from the parking area to the cottage level.

Activities Near Saint-Calixte and in Lanaudière

La Siesta is ideally located for discovering the region’s many attractions. Nearby activities include golf, skydiving, karting, high-rope courses and spa centres.

During summer, Atlantide Water Park in Saint-Calixte is located about 15 minutes from the cottage. The Forêt Ouareau Regional Park is approximately 45 minutes away and offers trails for hiking and cycling.

In winter, the trails at Forêt Ouareau can be explored by cross-country skiing or snowshoeing. Two ski centres are also located nearby: Ski Montcalm and Val Saint-Côme, where you can enjoy downhill skiing, tubing and snowshoeing.

A Comfortable and Well-Equipped Interior

The main floor features a bright open-concept layout combining the fully equipped kitchen, dining area and living room. This space opens directly onto the terrace, making it easy to bring meals outside and enjoy them with a view of the lake.

The cottage is also equipped with Chromecast and a smart TV for rainy days or quiet evenings watching YouTube, Netflix or your favourite content.

The home includes four closed bedrooms, a bathroom with shower, a powder room and a laundry room for a practical and comfortable stay.
