A Cottage at the Foot of Pic de l’Ours in Orford

The cottage is located directly at the foot of the Pic de l’Ours slope, in the Mont-Orford area. Its wooded lot borders the Route Verte cycling path, allowing guests to easily head out on foot, by bike, on cross-country skis, or on snowshoes depending on the season.

Just a few minutes’ walk away, you can reach the trailhead leading to the summit of Pic de l’Ours. A little farther, the Mont Chauve trails also offer great hiking opportunities.

By bike, it takes approximately 15 minutes to reach Stukely Beach in Mont-Orford National Park. Lac Fraser, located about 15 minutes away by car, also offers a beautiful sandy beach with clear water. At the park beaches, it is possible to rent watercraft such as kayaks, pedal boats, paddle boards, and canoes.

In summer, enjoy hiking, cycling, swimming, beaches, water activities, and the many natural attractions of the region.

In winter, the cycling path becomes a cross-country ski trail and snowshoeing route. Mont-Orford National Park also offers additional maintained trails for outdoor enthusiasts. For downhill skiing, Mont-Orford is located about 15 minutes away by car. If you want to explore more ski options, Owl’s Head and Bromont are also great mountains to discover in the Eastern Townships.

The Magog and Orford region is also full of restaurants, boutiques, and tourist attractions. The Marais de la Rivière aux Cerises, known for its trails and views of Mont-Orford, is located about 20 minutes from the cottage.
